Alex Voodoo is the main composer and founder behind Voodoo Gods. Born and raised in Africa, he soon showed interest in African drumming, mythology and art. He became an expert in Black Magic, Voodoo and African Rituals. He took private lessons from drum icons as: DAVE LOMBARDO, DAVE CULROSS, PETE SANDOVAL, STEVE ASHEIM and LEE HARRISON as well as progressive German drum-artist ALEXANDER BISCH. He developed his own style combining typical metal grooves with traditional African rhythms and OSTINATIS.
Alex always showed a great passion for cooking. In the year 2008 he will release his first cooking book named: VOODOO METAL KITCHEN released in 3 languages: German, Polish and English. He played with bands as: UNION, GUERILLIA and NON OPUS DEI.
